Securing working situations
Risk assessment of own work
Risk assessment is a tool for reducing risk. This is done by assessing the probability of something happening and the consequence of the event.
01.
Can I expose someone to welding radiation? You should cover the welding area.
02.
Can something fall down? You should Secure the penetrations on the deck etc.
03.
Is there a risk of leaks? You should turn off the welding machine and turn off the gas.
04.
Could someone trip over my cables? Hang them up
05.
Can someone go under where I work? Lock off
06.
Could something catch fire? This should be covered and you should also check the area on the other side of the welder.
07.
Can anything fall over? This should be moved and secured with a securing belt, etc.
08.
Can someone be exposed to the chemicals I use? Make sure that the others use the same type of PVU as you.
Remember!
Only after the work area has been cleaned and secured can the work be considered completed!
