FH Contractors has developed a sick leave procedure to ensure effective management of sick leave. Precautions in case of illness As an FH Contractors employee, you must always familiarize yourself with the local health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Enhanced requirements at workplaces, compared to FH Contractors' general standards, must always be given the highest priority. FH Contractors' HSE guidelines serve as the "minimum standard" for health, safety, and environmental regulations at your workplace. This means that these guidelines represent a set of safety rules that must be adhered to as a minimum, unless otherwise communicated in writing. For example, if you are working at another company where stricter safety requirements are provided, these stricter requirements must take precedence over FH Contractors' HSE guidelines. The laws of the host country must be respected and followed. Failure to do so will result in repatriation. Read more: Your HSE Responsibility Smoking policy FH Contractors is a smoke-free workplace, and therefore an attractive workplace where employees can carry out their work without being exposed to second-hand smoke. Based on current regulations and the company's working environment policy, a smoking policy has been developed that applies to employees and guests in our compa n y. All smoking takes place outdoors, in designated, marked places. This will prevent other people from being exposed to the smoke Smoking is not permitted in company cars. If an employee violates the smoking policy, this may have employment law consequences for him or her. For the first violation, the employee will receive a written warning. The management is responsible for ensuring that everyone complies with the smoking policies. Managers are therefore obliged to take action against employees who do not comply with the smoking policy. The same rules apply to electronic cigarettes as to regular cigarettes. Policy for alcohol and euphoric drugs FH Contractors maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and drug use while on the job. We believe that work and substance use are incompatible, and we are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment for all employees. Prohibition of Alcohol and Drug Use The consumption of alcohol or the use of illicit drugs is strictly prohibited during working hours, including while working at client sites or attending client meetings. If there is any suspicion of alcohol or drug use during working hours, the employee will be immediately sent home from the workplace. This may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Exceptions There may be special occasions where alcohol consumption is permitted, such as company summer or Christmas parties,anniversaries, receptions, or staff events. In these cases, employees are expected to consume alcohol responsibly and in moderation. Travel to and from Client Sites When traveling to and from client sites, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and responsible manner. This includes avoiding excessive alcohol consumption and refraining from drug use. Airlines may refuse to board passengers who appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. The decision of whether or not to board a passenger is solely at the discretion of the airline. Consequences of Non-Compliance If an employee is denied boarding due to intoxication or drug use, this will be considered an unexcused absence and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. To ensure a smooth trip abroad, please read the following important information: By following these guidelines, you can ensure a safe and trouble-free trip abroad. Travel Plan: You will receive a detailed travel plan outlining the itinerary, including: Check-in times Ticket information (collection and flight times) Other important information Read the travel plan carefully to avoid misunderstandings. Early Arrival: It is crucial to arrive at the airport well in advance to ensure a hassle-free check-in and boarding. Late arrival may result in denial at the check-in counter. In case of flight denial due to late arrival, you will be charged for the ticket price. Lost Luggage: Should your luggage be lost during the trip, you must immediately report this to the tour operator. How to do a risk assessment For effective risk assessment, it's crucial to pause and carefully consider the potential hazards before starting your sewing project. By fully understanding the risks involved, you can take proactive steps to prevent accidents. To identify what can go wrong, you must first have a clear understanding of: What to do? Which requirements (laws, regulations, procedures) and expectations regulate the work you are to carry out? Desired outcome? Before starting your work: - Should you carry out a risk assessment yourself of the work you will be doing. Ask yourself: What could go wrong? What could the consequences be? What can I do to prevent this? Once the dangers have been identified, you must take the necessary measures. During the work: It is important to stop and look around, to ensure that the risk picture has not changed. If it has changed, you must do a new risk assessment.
