Work Environment Policy
FH Contractors has a unified work environment policy, which is the first step toward ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all our employees—ranging from embedded staff and administrative personnel to management. This policy outlines our shared attitudes, values, and actions regarding workplace safety. The policy aims to ensure that all workplaces maintain a safe, healthy, and attractive work environment.
Inclusive and Safe Work Environment

Sick Leave
Sick Leave Policy:
FH Contractors aims to:
-
Ensure security and well-being for each employee
-
Foster openness about the reasons for absence
-
Treat employees equally in cases of absence
-
Retain long-term sick employees
-
Reduce sick leave rates
These goals will be achieved through cooperation and open dialogue between management and employees. FH Contractors has developed a sick leave procedure to ensure effective management of sick leave.
As an FH Contractors employee, you must always familiarize yourself with the local health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Enhanced requirements at workplaces, compared to FH Contractors' general standards, must always be given the highest priority.
FH Contractors' HSE guidelines serve as the "minimum standard" for health, safety, and environmental regulations at your workplace. This means that these guidelines represent a set of safety rules that must be adhered to as a minimum, unless otherwise communicated in writing.
For example, if you are working at another company where stricter safety requirements are provided, these stricter requirements must take precedence over FH Contractors' HSE guidelines.
The laws of the host country must be respected and followed. Failure to do so will result in repatriation.

Smoking policy
FH Contractors is a smoke-free workplace, and therefore an attractive workplace where employees can carry out their work without being exposed to second-hand smoke. Based on current regulations and the company's working environment policy, a smoking policy has been developed that applies to employees and guests in our company.
-
All smoking takes place outdoors, in designated, marked places. This will prevent other people from being exposed to the smoke
-
Smoking is not permitted in company cars.
-
If an employee violates the smoking policy, this may have employment law consequences for him or her. For the first violation, the employee will receive a written warning.
-
The management is responsible for ensuring that everyone complies with the smoking policies. Managers are therefore obliged to take action against employees who do not comply with the smoking policy.
The same rules apply to electronic cigarettes as to regular cigarettes.
Policy for alcohol and euphoric drugs
FH Contractors maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for alcohol and drug use while on the job. We believe that work and substance use are incompatible, and we are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment for all employees.
Prohibition of Alcohol and Drug Use
The consumption of alcohol or the use of illicit drugs is strictly prohibited during working hours, including while working at client sites or attending client meetings. If there is any suspicion of alcohol or drug use during working hours, the employee will be immediately sent home from the workplace. This may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Exceptions
There may be special occasions where alcohol consumption is permitted, such as company summer or Christmas parties, anniversaries, receptions, or staff events. In these cases, employees are expected to consume alcohol responsibly and in moderation.
Travel to and from Client Sites
When traveling to and from client sites, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and responsible manner. This includes avoiding excessive alcohol consumption and refraining from drug use. Airlines may refuse to board passengers who appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. The decision of whether or not to board a passenger is solely at the discretion of the airline.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
If an employee is denied boarding due to intoxication or drug use, this will be considered an unexcused absence and may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Remember, safety always comes first!
These guidelines constitute the foundation for health, environment, safety, and quality at FH Contractors. By adhering to them, you contribute to our common goal of maintaining a high level of safety in the workplace, which protects both people, the environment, and equipment.
We Follow the Law and Local Agreements
FH Contractors is always committed to complying with the law. This means that as an employee, you can be confident that we keep our promises and act in accordance with the law.
We also enter into collective agreements in both Denmark and Norway to ensure the safety and well-being of each employee.
